Hedge Road and Paula Drive will be reconstructed to include sidewalks on both sides of the street. The majority of streets in Garden Hills do not have sidewalks. High-traffic roads like Mattis Avenue, Bloomington Road, Bradley Avenue and Prospect Avenue can be difficult to cross.
The results of this survey will help identify key routes in the neighborhood that need improvements so they are safer and more comfortable to use. The results will also help identify important intersections that need additional study to improve how residents access shopping, dining, employment and other services outside the neighborhood.
