605 South First Street Rezoning

The Planning and Development Department has initiated a rezoning of the property at 605 South First Street from the CB1, Central Business Urban Fringe zoning district to the CB3 Central Business Campustown zoning district. The proposed rezoning includes the property on the west side of South First Street and north of East Green Street. The City of Champaign is initiating the rezoning to algin zoning districts in this location for a proposed mixed-use development spanning two different zoning districts at the corner of South First and East Green Streets.

PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING

The Champaign Plan Commission will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (102 North Neil St, Champaign) to review the proposed rezoning and hear public input. Meeting materials will be posted here prior to the meeting.
