Council Goal Setting Process
Following each City Council election, members of the City Council meet to discuss and establish their shared goals for the upcoming two years. The Champaign City Council is scheduled to meet October 7 and 8, 2025, to discuss and build consensus on their goals for the 2025-2027 Council term. The City Council is seeking input from the public prior to holding those meetings.
Public input is an important part of the Council's goal-setting process, and residents are encouraged tocomplete the brief survey below to share their thoughts on what they feel the City should be focused on during the next two years. Residents may also pick up a printed copy of the survey at the Champaign City Building (102 N. Neil St., Champaign).
The survey closes on September 9, 2025.
All survey responses will be provided to the City Council in advance of their goal-setting meetings. The City Manager and her executive leadership team use the Council’s goals to set City priorities, direct work activities, and allocate staff and financial resources.
